This street marks where the 1974 Brisbane floods came to. Early reports for this Jan 2011 flood said it would be as high or more than the floods in 1974. The street is only a street or two from my house. I am happy to say the water in the creek that runs under this intersection did not flood at all. Neighbouring suburbs were not so lucky.
