As the dolphins continue to race around the show lagoon with fast and high jumps the trainers come on stage and take position in the slide out areas.

However, the slideouts are not used by the dolphins during the show. They are used by the trainers as a landing spot when being returned to the stage by the dolphins "pushing" them horizontally and also vertically.
