I marched as a no confidence vote for a government that has offended me on so many fronts I now no longer know which is more insulting; the disregard for human lives that are fleeing circumstances that we can’t possibly begin to imagine here in what we call the lucky country, the reckless dismantling of protections for the land and sea that I love, only to feed the need to replace our renowned wild places with greedy hands grabbing every fast buck they can without a thought for the long term costs that future generations will endure, multinational corporations receiving more assistance and considerations than those of flesh and blood working to make this country what it could be, my own personal rights to be informed about what my country and government of the day is up to in a balanced honest broadcast and my own personal right to speak up when I see injustice to man or nature, I could keep going on and on and on but basically I’m marching because if nothing else I want the world to know as I hang in my head in embarrassment and shame at the direction that this country seems to be headed, that this government does not speak for me and as a voter the actions this government are taking are not done in my name.
