Amity
Australin Humpback Sousa sahulensis
Amity was captured 1968 her acquisition age estimated at 8 years, making her approx. current age 58 at the time of these photographs. When Marineland, Gold Coast closed Amity was transferred to Sea World, Gold Coast.
Amity is currently foster mum to the juvenile rescue Dolphins and is in the rescues lagoon area of the park.
She was very observant and tolerated the playfulness of the juvenile dolphins, regardless of them being a different species. Raffa/Cliffy (not sure witch boy it was) was seen after being rather amorous towards the juvie females in a calf position under Amity.
She also spend a lot of time while we were around really checking us out. There was constant eye contact.
