Dolphin Deep Water Adventure

This Dolphin Interaction takes place with rescue dolphins and although the entire interaction takes 45mins the actual time spent in the water with the dolphin is 20 mins.

This dolphin interaction was a hands on interaction. One the day we observed there were 2 Staff for 5 participants (not sure if both were trainers), the staff on the paddle board was also taking photographs for the participants after the interaction.

The interaction included touching the dolphin and then moving out to deeper water where the participants put on mask to see under water and a ball was thrown over their heads while the dolphin swam under them and then over to retrieve the ball.

The Dolphin Deep Water Adventure offers guests a once in a life time experience of meeting some of Sea World's dolphins. During this program guests have the opportunity to observe a dolphin in a deep water encounter. Each guest will have their photograph taken by a Sea World photographer and the Marine Mammal Trainer will give an informal educational. Program duration is approximately 45 minutes with approximately 20 minutes in the water.
Each experience is unique based upon the guests, trainers and animals.
Program prices are $199.99 (online only price) per person, which includes one souvenir photograph.
What better way to capture your once-in-a-lifetime experience than with a souvenir DVD? Your souvenir DVD is available for $19.99 features footage of you getting up close and personal with Sea World’s wonderful marine life. Take your experience home to relive again and again.
The use of a supplied wet suit or rash vest and board shorts is required in all water-based programs and is included in the cost of the program. Sizes range from XS to 7XL. Should your size requirements not be met, please contact Guest Services to make other arrangements. Swimwear must be worn underneath wet suits or rash vests and board shorts. A deposit of a VIP Pass, Medicare card or credit card swipe will be required. For the safety of the animals we do not permit jewellery to be worn on any Animal Adventures program.
Dolphin Aqua Adventure programs are available 7 days a week and have approximately 14 participants per program. Approximate participant to animal ratio is 7:1. All participants of this experience must hold a valid pass to enter the park. Get your Sea World tickets here.
Please note that the Dolphin Aqua Adventure - Adult program takes place at a different time and location to the Child program.
Please note that the Child Dolphin Aqua Adventure takes place at a different time and location to the Deep Water Dolphin Adventure.

Participation Criteria

Participants must be 9+ years of age and a minimum of 132cm in height. Participants will be measured on the day of participation. If the participant does not meet the height restriction they will not be able to participate and will not be eligible for a refund.
Participants must be competent swimmers/able to swim unaided.
Participants must be able to speak and/or understand English, or have a translator participate in the program with them. There are no complimentary programs for translators. Persons acting as a translator must advise staff at the start of the program. Translators must satisfy all criteria.
Participants must have controlled motor movement.
Guests are not permitted to wear any visible jewellery of any type including necklaces, bracelets, ear rings, body piercings, religious and cultural ornamentation, hair clips and pins (other than a single hair band), unless it is unable to be removed then it has to be taped.
Participants must follow directions quickly to the satisfaction of staff.
Participants must be able to quickly exit the pool area unassisted.
Based on medical advice, participants must not be pregnant.
Participants must not have any open cuts or infections.
Guests with disabilities are asked to call Customer Connect on 13 33 86 directly to determine suitability to participate in the Animal Adventures programs. Please note a limited number of special needs programs are available for people with disabilities that otherwise prohibit them from participating.
