A wonderful (and educational) day organized by the MelbourneDolphin team. I was very happy to be there promoting my children's book "Will There Be Whales There?" It was all going on amid the craziness of the Rugby World Cup and those England supporter, who never fail to entertain a crowd with fancy dress.
Speakers at this event included;
Dr Kate Charlton-Robb speaking about her discovery of Australia's own Tursiops australis dolphins found in VIC & TAS waters, Mike Bossley from WDC speaking about South Australia's Adelaide Port River Dolphins and Len Varley author of "Saltwater Tears" and it's follow on book "Deeper Water" about his experiences observing the dolphin drive hunts in Taiji, Japan.
