Earlier that morning I had photographed two family of ducks crossing the road at sunrise, when I was out walking and I had to stop a car while they crossed the road.
When I returned later that afternoon a mother and two ducklings had run over by a car rushing to get to look at the Brisbane river flooding.
I do not know if these ducklings are now orphaned however could not find an adult duck around that area of the creek.
